GOLD CREEK at SNOHOMISH CASCADE

Homeowners Association

Common Area Clean-Up Committee

Committee Have you noticed the areas along the Sno-Cascade Drive and bordering the baseball field, where the encroaching alders and blackberries have been cut back?

In many cases, the removal of alders and blackberries has exposed forgotten landscaping plants that were planted years ago. These plants were paid for by you, the homeowner, through your dues, or passed on to you in the purchase price of your home. We feel that these plants should be uncovered and maintained, as originally intended.

A small, but dedicated group of homeowners have been tackling the alder problem since April 2004. With a larger volunteer workforce, we could get to more areas that need attention. Our efforts have been applauded by many homeowners as they are out walking on the Saturdays we work. We've even added to our small committee through sharing our goals with some of those homeowners.

Since April 2004, we have worked one Saturday per month, usually for about three hours. If you have a chainsaw, loppers or a rake, we'd love to hear from you and have you join our team! If you are a young volunteer that needs community service hours for Honor Society or graduation, let us know.

We are looking for volunteers to join the committee.

If you are interested in becoming a committee member, please contact our property manager.
