GOLD CREEK at SNOHOMISH CASCADE

Homeowners Association

Architectural Control Committee
ACC

Gold Creek at Snohomish Cascade has an Architectural Control Committee (ACC), which consists of homeowner/volunteers from the Gold Creek community, whose sole purpose is to see that the architectural integrity of the Gold Creek community is maintained. The ACC is separate from the homeowners' association board, and has the responsibility of approving requests for structural, paint, fencing, decking changes submitted by homeowners. The committee bases their decisions on the CC&Rs when considering homeowner requests for approval. Be sure to read your copy of the CC&Rs.

We all, at one time or another, have seen a house that has been remodeled or modified using mismatched materials, or, imposes upon its neighbors. With the ACC, we can review proposed homeowner projects prior to their construction and incorporate changes that are deemed necessary to comply with our CC&Rs and the rights of our neighbors. Doing so provides us all with a standard that will help to, not only, protect the investment we have in our homes and lifestyle here in Gold Creek, but allow us to protect the future value of our community.

For those considering a remodel or addition project, please submit, in writing, any plans (structural, paint, fencing, decking, etc.) to our property manager. Our property manager will forward all requests to the ACC.

Include in the plans the details showing the proposed modification. For house additions, it is important that plans show placement of the proposed addition within the property with distances to nearby property lines. A written narrative describing the proposed work, structural systems and the materials to be used will help in the review process.

The ACC generally meets once a month and needs approximately 60 days to review and process each request. Therefore, it is important that the information submitted be as complete as possible. Failure to do so could result in unnecessary delays in the approval process for your project.
